When people think about church, they often have skewed views based on their own personal background and journey through life. Many see church as nothing more than a money-grabbing, fun-robbing institution. What if we could be the hands and feet of Jesus and reach out to our neighbors, friends, and co-workers? What if we began to strategically look for ways to demonstrate Christ's love and invite them to our church? What if people in our communities were heard to say "Oh! You're the church that..." Our goal is to have 10,000 people say just that in 2010 by touching them with an evangelistic touch.
Definition of an Evangelistic TouchAn Evangelistic Touch is an act of kindness which provides opportunity to demonstrate to others the love of Christ and invite them to church.
How will it work?By creatively reaching out to people in ways that demonstrate the free gift of God's salvation for us. As the Body of Christ, we will work together to touch the lives of 8,000 people in our communities by showing God's love in practical ways. We have so much potential to reach non-believers with the Good News as we simply love people in Jesus' name.
